A Seattle man was arrested near Tualatin early Tuesday after Oregon State Police say an estimated $ 130,000 in marijuana was found in his rental car.
A state trooper pulled over Santichith Hochingnavong, 38, for a traffic violation about 2:30 a.m., as he drove a 2014 Toyota Camry north on Interstate 5 near milepost 290, state police said. A search of the car with California license plates turned up 52 pounds of marijuana in the trunk.
Hochingnavong was arrested and booked into the Clackamas County Jail on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful distribution of marijuana. A 25-year-old male passenger also from Washington was not arrested.
