Denver cops have a message for parents: Beware of marijuana-infused candies this Halloween.
Pot-infused candies look a lot like conventional ones. Producers of marijuana-infused candies often use knockoff treats, which they then spray with a “viscous hash oil,” said Patrick Johnson, owner of Urban Dispensary in Denver.
“The problem is some of these products look so similar to candy that’s been on the market, that we’ve eaten as children, that there is really no way for a child or a parent or anybody, even an expert in the field, to tell you whether or not a product is infused or not,” said Johnson, who appears in a video posted to Youtube by the Denver police.
