Marijuana regulation will dominate the Oregon Liquor Control Commission’s monthly meeting, which is scheduled for Thursday and Friday.
The five-member commission will devote Thursday to a “study session” on marijuana. The discussion continues Friday with a potential vote on budget and policy priorities.
The commission will get a legislative update and consider policy recommendations to the Joint Committee on Implementing Measure 91. It also will discuss the formation of a rules advisory committee. That committee would help craft regulations for all elements of the regulated marijuana industry, from production to sales.
The commission this week also will continue its listening tour of Oregon with two stops in the Portland area.
Tigard: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Embassy Suites Portland-Washington Square, 9000 S.W. Washington Square Road.
Clackamas: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the Monarch Hotel & Conference Center, 12566 S.E. 93rd Avenue.
The commission is planning an additional stop in Portland in March. The details have not yet been worked out.
